Terms of Service
Effective Date: 2026-08-01
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the conditions and procedures for using Haru ("the Service") and define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users and the Service. By installing and using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
- User: anyone who uses the Service under these Terms
- Account: the user identity created through Kakao, Google, or Apple social login
- Calendar: a collection of work schedules created by a user, whose visibility the user controls
- Subscription: a relationship that lets a user view another user's public calendar in their own app
- Share link: a link issued so that others can subscribe to a public calendar
- Team schedule: a shift roster a team admin builds from group assignments and dispatches to team members
2. Effect and Modification of Terms
These Terms take effect when you launch the app. The Service may amend these Terms as needed and will announce changes in-app or by updating this page; changes unfavorable to users will be announced at least 30 days before they take effect. Amendments apply from the announced effective date. If you do not agree, you may terminate the agreement by deleting your account.
3. Services Provided
- Recording and managing work schedules and shift types (name, color, default hours, default rate)
- Bulk-generating events from shift patterns
- Income records with settlement totals and outstanding-payment tracking
- Calendar sharing and subscriptions, including approving, removing, and blocking subscribers
- RSVPs and comments on gathering events

- A one-line daily note and calendar notices (optional features you enable per calendar)

- Fortune calendars — a separate kind of calendar that shows a daily score and reading once you enter a date of birth and related details
- Diary calendars — a separate kind of calendar for a per-day mood, block records, and a one-line note
A calendar's kind (schedule calendar, or a record calendar such as fortune or diary) is chosen when it is created and cannot be changed afterwards. Optional features (notes, notices) can be turned on and off per calendar at any time.
3-1. Advertising
The Service is free and supported by ads shown inside the app. Ads are served by Google AdMob and may appear on app open, between screens, within lists, and as rewarded ads that unlock a fortune reading or a new diary entry.
- Ad content is determined by advertisers and the ad provider; the Service does not review or endorse it. Any transaction arising from an ad is between you and the advertiser, and the Service is not liable for resulting loss.
- Use of advertising identifiers and the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) flow are governed by Section 4-1 of the Privacy Policy.
- The Service may change the placement, format, and frequency of ads as needed.
4. Agreement and Accounts
The agreement is formed when you create an account through Kakao, Google, or Apple social login and begin using the Service. The Service offers no email-and-password registration and no guest mode. During sign-in, the Service receives minimal information (such as email and nickname) from the provider; details are governed by the Privacy Policy.
The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 14. You may not transfer or lend your account to a third party, and you are responsible for managing it.
5. Nature and Limits of the Service
The Service is a personal record-keeping tool that helps you track your own work schedule and income.
- Schedules and income calculations shown in the Service are for reference only and are not a legal basis for payroll, accounting, or tax purposes. Your actual pay and working conditions are governed by your employer's rules and your employment contract.
- The Service is not a party to any employment contract and bears no responsibility for wage payment, working-hour calculation, or tax filing.
- If the rates, quantities, or hours you enter differ from reality, the calculated results will differ too. You are responsible for the accuracy of your inputs.
- Scores and readings shown by a fortune calendar are for entertainment and are not predictions of fact. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial, career, or any other decision. The Service does not warrant their accuracy and is not responsible for decisions made on their basis or their consequences.
6. Calendar Sharing and Links
- When a calendar is public, anyone who knows its share link can subscribe to it. You are responsible for where and to whom you distribute the link.
- You may reissue the link at any time to invalidate the old one. After reissuing, the old link can no longer be used to subscribe, but existing subscribers remain subscribed. To stop sharing with a specific subscriber, remove or block that subscription directly.
- Events marked private are never shared with subscribers.
7. Team Schedules
- A team schedule is information created by a team admin. The Service does not guarantee its accuracy or its compliance with labor standards.
- A dispatched schedule is applied to a member's personal calendar only after that member approves it. Your events are never changed without your approval.
- The roster as of the moment of approval is copied into your personal calendar. Later changes to the team schedule are not applied automatically; they go through dispatch and approval again.
- Disputes between a team admin and team members over shift assignments are resolved between those parties; the Service does not intervene in rostering decisions.
8. User Content, Reporting, and Blocking
- Rights to content you enter — event titles and memos, nicknames, RSVP comments — belong to you as the author. The Service uses it only as needed to operate the Service (storing, displaying, and delivering it to people you shared with).
- You may not enter content that infringes others' rights or violates the law.
- The Service provides a reporting channel for inappropriate content and a blocking tool that lets a calendar owner cut off a specific subscriber. When a report is received, the Service may review it and take action such as removing content, terminating a subscription, or restricting the account.
9. User Obligations
You agree not to:
- Use another person's account or impersonate someone else
- Collect, enter, or post another person's personal information without consent
- Enter abusive, hateful, obscene, or otherwise unlawful content
- Access the Service through automated means or place excessive load on its servers
- Reverse-engineer or decompile the Service, or circumvent its security measures
- Reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit the Service's data without permission
- Violate any applicable law
10. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Service's UI, software, design, and compilations belong to the Service or its licensors, and you may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior consent. Rights to content you enter are governed by Section 8.
11. Changes and Suspension of the Service
The Service aims to be available at all times but may be temporarily suspended for maintenance, outages, or infrastructure provider issues. The Service may modify or discontinue all or part of its features for operational or technical reasons; material changes will be announced in-app or on this page.
12. Restrictions on Use
If you materially breach these Terms or interfere with the normal operation of the Service, the Service may restrict your use or terminate the agreement after prior notice. In urgent cases, notice may be given after the action is taken.
13. Termination (Account Deletion)
You may terminate this agreement at any time at Settings > Account > Delete account in the app. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your account. What is deleted, and what remains because it belongs to other users, is described in Account Deletion and the Privacy Policy.
14. Limitation of Liability
- The Service is an ad-supported, free record-keeping tool. To the extent permitted by law, it is not liable for damages arising from its use, including decisions based on schedule or income calculations, missed or delayed notifications, and schedule exposure caused by a leaked share link.
- The Service is not liable for damages caused by events beyond its control, such as natural disasters, network failures, or outages at infrastructure providers.
- The Service does not intervene in disputes between users and is not liable for damages arising from them, except that it will act on reports as described in Section 8.
- The Service is not liable for data stored only on your device (widget summaries, device calendar events) or for loss caused by a lost or reset device.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith discussion; failing that, the Seoul Central District Court, Republic of Korea shall be the court of first instance, provided that a user who is a consumer may bring an action before any court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
